interaction. Depending on your experience as a Human Resources Specialist and your individual
capabilities and interests, you will assist and/or be responsible for a wide variety of HR support
functions. Primary responsibilities include all aspects related to successful recruiting, hiring, and
retention of talent.
The Job Share: Human Resource Specialist/Generalist
Job sharing allows you to share the responsibilities and hours of this full time 50-60 hour work
week. The hours/day split will be determined depending on the needs of you and your partner.
While you and your partner may have complementary skills, you will be expected to act on each
others’ behalf when the other is not present. As a combined team, the job share pair will share
the following roles and responsibilities.
What you would do:
Develop a working knowledge of all departments in order to analyze job duties to aid in writing job descriptions, determine performance standards, make informed hiring decisions, and provide accurate information to applicants.
Provide information and input on workforce planning and staffing needs of the entire organization.
Assist in developing, conducting, and coordinating the hiring process including applicant recruiting, screening, interviewing and coordination, reference/background checks and drug testing.
Oversee and coordinate new employee intake process including offers for employment, new employee orientation, and on-boarding.
Handle employee relations issues, grievances, terminations and exit interviews and all HR paperwork.
Collect, enter, and maintain employee data; analyze and prepare summary reports such as performance evaluations, promotions/raises, market pricing and compensation, training, etc.
Assist with employee engagement efforts and coordinate employee recognition and incentives.
Develop HR/ benefits training, new educational opportunities, and job specific skills development training.
Work collaboratively with all departments regarding aspects related to human resources.
Attend community job fairs/educational opportunities to obtain talent and promote organization.
Keep current on compliance issues and labor laws, including Affirmative Action.
Assist in the maintenance of Personnel Policies and Procedures and make recommendations to meet company needs.
Assist payroll staff as requested or necessary.
Proactively perform other duties as needed.
For this role, experience in Human Resources is required and an undergraduate degree in a related field or equivalent experience is strongly preferred.
To be successful in this role, you are flexible and adaptable, desire learning new skills quickly and are willing to take on increasing responsibilities. You have a positive outlook, have a strong work ethic, are dependable, organized, and have excellent interpersonal and communication skills. You must be comfortable with technology and computers and proficient using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Outlook, Excel).
Must be willing to become CNA certified (CNA training will be provided).

Salary: Commensurate with team's experience
Flexibility: This position requires being onsite for continued support, but hours are
flexible. At times, must be willing to work events outside of regular business hours; sick
and vacation leave based on number of hours
